Dr. Stephen M. Smith
Dr. Smith is currently a Fellow in good standing with DOCS (Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation). Fellowship requires over 200 hours of sedation continuing education. Dr. SMith keeps current with continuing education of conscious sedation and general dentistry. He has treated over a thousand patients using this technique since 1995. Dr.
Smith is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in 1971, Emory College in
1975 and Emory University Dental School in 1979. He is a member of the
Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthia and
the American Dental Association. He is a member and Deacon in the First
Presbyterian Church of Morehead City. He has served on the following
Boards of Directors: NC Seafood Festival, Habitat for Humanity,
Morehead City Noon Rotary Club, Carterest Community College, Core Sound
Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center.
