Dr. Stephen M. Smith
Dr. Smith is currently a member of DOCS (Doctors Organization for
Conscious Sedation). He attended a 20 hr course on conscious sedation in
Philadelphia, P.A. in July 2001. This course was sponsored by Dr.
Michael Silverman DDS. Dr Smith keeps current with continuing education
on conscious sedation and has treated almost 1000 patients using this
technique. Dr. Schweitzer also trained with Dr. Michael Silverman DDS.
in July of 2003.
Dr. Stephen M. Smith is a graduate of Emory College and Emory University
School of Dentistry. He has one child, Andrea. He is a member of the
Academy of General Dentistry and a member of Doctors for Oral Conscious
Sedation. He is a Member & Deacon of First Presbyterian Church of
Morehead City, N.C.
He has Served in the Following Board of Directors:
NC Seafood Festival, Habitat for Humanity, Morehead Noon Rotary Club,
Carteret Community College.
His Hobbies are:
Duck Hunting, Fishing, and Gardening.
